You even got your information about war crimes from incorrect sources, Just like George Bush got wrong information about Iraqi weapons of mass destructions.face and your children and grand children all will have to pay in a latter date.I don';t side SLFP, UNP or Social Democrats. I side Sri Lanka and its pride, unity and integrity.Ranil learnt to make up stories to defeat MR at the elections. He also should be able to do so, if he has to, to make sure nobody is charged for the alleged war crimes, other than pointing it to terrorist. We should get ready to defend our war heros, specially of the armed forces. Justy the entire war comparing the 25 years before 2009 and present situation. Make documentaries of the rescue mission of soldiers and how peacefully and without fear people of the North Also live now. Also as Udaya Gammanpila suggested we should have indemnity to protect the members of he armed forces that fought the war against terror. In USA journals are not allowed to report anything against armed forces who are fighting to protect US interest overseas. If we cannot debate the content of this report we will be shamed. How did they find out information for this report, who did they interview are the question you have to look into. There was a recent video saying armed forces are still doing war crimes and a man spoke of forced sexual intercourse by someone(he did not specify whether it was CID or Army guys). He did not want to identify himself to protect his family in Sri Lanka. How many would analyze and say it is a fake. If the torture and Rape(man to man) took place, when the victim explains step by step the perpetrators(if there are any) would know who this guy is and go after that guys family in Sri Lanka.
After listening to today's Adaderana news, I think we don't have to get angry about this report. It isn't pointing at anybody for any war crimes. Best thing is to carefully prepare a debate, make videos, interview the people who were rescued by the armed forces and include documentaries from everything that happened from Pettah bus station to Sri Mahabodhy attack by LTTE and justy any mistakes made by the forces on the way.Include the massacres of villages late in the night. Show them the orphans. Then how the government rehabilitated the young LTTE soldiers without shooting them or letting them swallow the cyanide capsule. I think we can make a 3 hour movies by collecting all the information.
When replying all the army personnel, Air Force and navy personnels should be united, and strongly support each other and say nothing that can put the other person in trouble. United you will win, divided you will perish. I hope new defence chief will coordinate the forces to victory on this matter just like Gota coordinated the forces to win the war. Hope this will be read by Field Marshal Sarath Fonseka. Do not say anything to put anybody who took part to defeat the terrorist, just to take political revenge or to please the west.
